Michigan Wolverines news: 5-star locks in official visit, transfer departure, more…

The Michigan Wolverines are making headlines on multiple fronts this week. Five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo has locked in an official visit to Ann Arbor from June 6–8. The 6’5″, 270-pound Illinois native is one of the top prospects in the 2026 class and a major target for Michigan’s offensive line rebuild. While Ojo plans to visit several powerhouse programs, Michigan is considered a top contender for his commitment.

On the transfer front, wide receiver Tyler Morris, who transferred to Indiana earlier this year, will miss the 2025 season after suffering a knee injury. Meanwhile, sophomore running back Cole Cabana entered the transfer portal following a quiet 2024 season with limited snaps, signaling more potential roster reshuffling ahead.

As for NFL departures, defensive tackle Kenneth Grant officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after helping lead Michigan to a national championship and earning third-team All-American honors. He’s joined by standout cornerback Will Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland, both of whom are projected to be early-round picks.

With spring ball wrapping up and recruiting heating up, Michigan continues to position itself as a national contender both on the field and on the recruiting trail. More moves are expected as summer approaches.
