CBS Sports commentators’ positional view on Arkansas Razorback basketball, compared to the Big East’s St. John’s, before the second round was, from my perspective, unconditionally negative. Arkansas, one of 14 SEC conference basketball teams competing for the 2025 NCAA Basketball Championship, was realistically overlooked. However, Arkansas was competitive in all its SEC contests with new Coach John Calipari and new players who miraculously fit into the tradition of excellence. John Calipari’s validity and integrity reason for the Razorbacks’ triumphant restoration and accomplished performance assessment is their defeat of both Kansas and St. John’s, mirroring the dominance of fellow SEC tournament teams in the 2025 NCAA Basketball March Madness Championship.
