Tennessee vols stamp a gum deal with Ohio no.1 Hooper…

The Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball team has bolstered its roster by signing Felix Okpara, a standout center from Ohio State. Okpara, renowned for his exceptional rim protection, will join the Vols for the 2024-25 season with two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.

During his sophomore year at Ohio State, Okpara appeared in 35 of 36 games, starting 34. He averaged 6.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game, boasting a field-goal percentage of 58.6%. Notably, he tied for the eighth-most total blocks in a single season in Ohio State history with 83.

Okpara’s commitment to Tennessee was announced on April 25, 2024, following an official visit to the university. His addition is expected to significantly enhance the Vols’ defensive capabilities in the upcoming season.
