NFL star sues hospital over teen son’s tragic death

This has turned into an unfortunate situation
has turned into something that does not seem to end soon, as former Green Bay Packers Super Bowl champion Brady Poppinga is suing a Los Angeles hospital and its doctors after his teenage son died last year.
Julius, the son of the former NFL player, passed away after suffering a lung blockage. He was 17 years old. The lawsuit was filed earlier this week against Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, California.
The reason behind the lawsuit is that Poppinga is alleging wrongful death due to medical negligence. According to reports, in the documents the family is seeking unspecified damages.
Details of the lawsuit
While the matter is one that will take time to resolve, the family alleges they brought Julius to the facility last August 27 after the young man experienced chest pains and also breathing issues.
Two days later, he struggled to stay conscious while battling a shortage of breath. Sources indicate that Julius awoke “tearful and afraid” the day he passed away, and told his mother, Brooke, he believed “he was going to die.”
After this information was known, people started to wonder and according to the lawsuit, the family alleges that one doctor “negligently and wrongfully concluded” Julius was suffering a panic attack and then prescribed his medication before he died shortly after.
In the autopsy it was revealed that the son of Brady Poppinga died of a pulmonary embolism, which is a blot clod that blocks blood flow in the lung.
