Birmingham City boss Chris Davies may want to add to his squad during the January transfer window.
Blues, who many tipped to win the League One title at a canter this season, currently find themselves in a battle for automatic promotion, with Wycombe Wanderers and Wrexham having shown that they are capable of keeping up with the pace set by Chris Davies’ side.
Following Birmingham’s summer spending spree, six members of their squad are included in the 15 most expensive signings ever made by a club in the third tier, with Willum Thor Willumsson, Christoph Klarer and Jay Stansfield occupying the top three spots on that list, as per Transfermarkt.com.
Therefore, it would not come as a huge surprise if the club’s owners allowed Davies to strengthen his squad further during the current transfer window, as they will certainly not want to risk failing in their attempt to ensure an immediate return to the Championship this season.
