Philadelphia – Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio sits and watches film with defensive tackle Jalen Carter, showing clips of former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and how he used to dominate offensive lines from the middle of the line of scrimmage. Fangio then transitions to showing Carter his own reps from games. Many of Carter’s plays, including those from Thursday’s win against the Washington Commanders—where he played every defensive snap—bear a striking resemblance to Donald’s.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was fined $11,255 after getting into a scuffle with Baltimore Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard in the Steelers’ 18-16 win over the Ravens last Sunday.

On the play, Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen forced a fumble on Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely. After the play, Ricard ends up on top of a Steelers player, and Fitzpatrick takes umbrage to his actions.

There was plenty of pushing and shoving going on after the play, and Fitzpatrick ended up pushing Ricard multiple times. On the play, Fitzpatrick and Ricard were both called for unsportsmanlike conduct. Ricard did not receive a fine, however. Fitzpatrick did receive the fine, meaning the NFL placed most of the blame for the incident at his feet.

The Steelers were the most heavily fined team in the NFL a year ago, but they have done a much better job this season of playing cleaner football. As a result, they have not received as many fine, but both the Ravens and Steelers could not escape their matchup without being hit for some change.
