Pigeon Forge Declares Official Day of Rest After Rod Run: ‘All Those Cars Gave Us Exhaustion!

Surprisingly, after this year’s extraordinarily successful Rod Run, Pigeon Forge has officially declared a day of rest. Citing the sheer volume of vintage vehicles and fervent onlookers, city officials explained the cause for the unplanned holiday. “We thought we were ready for the influx, but it was so much energy!” Mayor Janet Carver said at a news conference.
