Shocking announcement: MAX VERSTAPPEN ANNOUNCES SURPRISE SWITCH TO INDY CAR…see more details…

Following the conclusion of Friday’s practices, a brief video of Max Verstappen and Franco Colapinto sparring was posted on F1’s official account. The Red Bull driver was unable to pass the Argentinian in the second DRS zone.

Verstappen made the decision to withdraw at one point. Verstappen was heard giggling over the radio, maybe because he was annoyed with the rookie driver or just felt it was humorous that the newest driver on the grid wanted to take him on in a free practice session.

Max Verstappen, the current world champion, states that if Formula 1 is worried about foul language, then team radio should not be broadcast. Verstappen earned a reprimand for using profanity during a pre-event press conference in Singapore.

The news conference held by the FIA on Thursday prior to the race weekend was scheduled for the Dutch racer to attend. The current champion was called before the stewards because of foul language.

After Verstappen was asked to evaluate his car’s performance, he described his setup at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix as “f—ed.” This led to the incident.

Verstappen will now have to “perform some task of public interest” as a result of the stewards’ decision to punish him for using profanity during the pre-event press conference. The stewards made this decision after listening to the audio transcript and speaking with the driver and Red Bull team personnel

Verstappen expressed his disapproval of the ruling after considering the punishment, saying that although abuse in any form is a grave concern, profanity is a commonplace

expression.
