Legendary Dallas Cowboys player Emmitt Smith expressed some “concern” after the team’s most recent defeat by the New Orleans Saints. In the Cowboys’ home debut against the Saints in Week 2, on Sunday, they were thoroughly outclassed and overpowered, losing 44-19. Even though the season is just two weeks old, the Cowboys gave up scores on the Saints’ opening six possessions. It was their first home loss in two years, and the defeat ended a 16-game winning streak during the regular season at home. “There is some concern because of not being able to stop the run, not being in form offensively and turning the ball over and the lack of a running game,” says Smith during a one-on-one conversation. “Those are all really serious issues. Our work is not done yet.

After the Dallas Cowboys’ most recent loss to the New Orleans Saints, legendary player Emmitt Smith voiced some “concern”. The Cowboys lost 44-19 to the Saints on Sunday in their home opener in Week 2. They were utterly outmatched and outplayed. The Cowboys allowed TDs on each of the Saints’ first six possessions, despite the fact that the season is only two weeks old. Their 16-game home winning streak during the regular season came to an end, and it was their first loss there in two years. In a one-on-one interview, Smith states, “There is some concern because of not being able to stop the run, not being in form offensively and turning the ball over, and the lack of a running game.” “Those are all extremely serious.”

Instead of assigning blame, the Cowboys accepted responsibility for their poor performance, with star linebacker Micah Parsons stating that the players’ lack of effort was the problem. Zimmer, however, accepted personal responsibility by claiming that it was coaching. Whatever the circumstances, it’s evident that the Cowboys’ defeat against the Saints was caused by more than one problem; as Smith notes, it was a general problem. It was rejected by the NFL’s all-time top rusher that it was a “effort” problem, as Parsons feels.
