Heartbreaking: #JOHNNY MARTHIS American Musician Is Gone….Singer Johnny Mathis and several local comedians will perform at the Hammond Horseshoe Casino this weekend.
Mathis will bring his “The Voice of Romance Tour” to The Venue at 777 Casino Center Dr. on the Lake Michigan lakefront in Hammond. He’ll take the stage at 8 p.m. Friday.
Mathis is one of the best-selling artists of the 20th century with more than 360 records sold and 73 records on the Billboard charts. The romantic singer’s wide-ranging ensemble spans pop, Latin, rhythm and blues, blues soul, soft rock, show tunes. country, disco, Tin Pan Alley and seven albums of Christmas music. He’s an inductee into the Grammy Hall of Fame and won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
