FOREVER BLUE: Toronto Blue Jays Launch “Eternal Flight” Legacy Campaign

The Toronto Blue Jays have officially unveiled their most ambitious and heartfelt project to date — the “Eternal Flight” Legacy Campaign, a celebration of the team’s history, culture, and the undying spirit that connects generations of players and fans.

Announced at a packed Rogers Centre event, the campaign seeks to honor the legends of the past, the stars of today, and the dreams of tomorrow. Fans were treated to an emotional presentation featuring archival footage from the franchise’s earliest days, iconic moments like Joe Carter’s 1993 World Series-winning home run, and messages from former players who left an indelible mark on the team’s identity.

“Baseball in Toronto isn’t just about the wins and losses — it’s about the community, the family we’ve built, and the memories that never fade,” said team president Mark Shapiro. “The ‘Eternal Flight’ campaign is our promise to keep the heart of the Blue Jays alive forever.”

The campaign will feature year-long events, including a “Heroes of the Sky” Hall of Honor, where fans can nominate their favorite players for special recognition, and a Traveling Jays Museum that will tour across Canada, allowing fans in every province to connect with the team’s history up close.

There are also plans to create an Eternal Flight Scholarship Fund, dedicated to supporting young Canadian athletes with dreams of playing professional baseball. A percentage of merchandise sales from the campaign will go directly to funding these opportunities.

Perhaps the most anticipated element is the Forever Blue Fan Wall at Rogers Centre — a permanent installation where the names of lifelong supporters will be engraved alongside the franchise’s greatest moments. Fans who have been attending games for decades, or who have passed down their love for the Jays through generations, will have a place of honor at the stadium.

Current players also shared their thoughts during the unveiling. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. called the campaign “a beautiful way to connect the past and the future,” while pitcher Kevin Gausman said, “Every time we take the field, we’re writing the next chapter of this forever story.”

The Blue Jays organization hopes this initiative will not only honor its legacy but also inspire future fans. As Shapiro put it, “From the first crack of the bat to the last out, the Toronto Blue Jays will always soar — because this is more than baseball. This is forever.”

The “Eternal Flight” campaign officially begins this fall and will continue into the 2026 season, ensuring that the heart of Toronto’s baseball family keeps beating for gen

erations to come.
