The Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) acclaimed athletic director, Gred Sankey, has announced his retirement following a long career that has profoundly impacted collegiate athletics in the Southeast and beyond.
During a press conference earlier today, Sankey—who has been the SEC commissioner since 2015—made the announcement.
