The Kansas City Chiefs may be searching for some depth at running back as star player Isiah Pacheco is sidelined for 6–8 weeks due to a fibula injury. NFL players that are most likely to be dealt are examined in a recent piece by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report. The Chiefs may target Miles Sanders, the running back for the Carolina Panthers, who is one of the players he cites.
“If the Panthers are willing to part with players ahead of the deadline, running back Miles Sanders would be a logical trade option,” Knox states. “The rebuilding Panthers may use all the draft capital they can obtain, even though Sanders has limited trade value due to his contract. There might be a market in 2024, given that injuries are already affecting the running back scene.” Although the team recently welcomed back Kareem Hunt and signed undrafted free agent Carson Steele, adding extra depth would not hurt. His final season as a Philadelphia starter saw him finish with little under 1300 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Panthers might be more inclined to trade the veteran back because he is currently their backup. Trading for Sanders may be a tempting option if the Chiefs decide they want additional depth at the position of running back. Visit
