Charles Lee on what LaMelo Ball did after getting injured

Ball suffered the ankle injury right after hitting a three-point shot. However, he rolled his ankle by stepping on LA Lakers’ Jarred Vanderbilt’s foot during the second quarter of the game.

During the postgame conference, Hornets head coach Charles Lee gave an update on his star player’s injury. Lee also revealed how the 23-year-old impacted the game, albeit from the locker room.

“They’re still doing some evaluations. He shot the ball, was backpedaling to get back on defense and stepped on a foot,” Lee said.

“We’ll see what happens tomorrow when he comes in for treatment, but he did a great job of being in the locker room and engaging with the guys as they came off the court,” he added.

Even though Ball is just getting started in the NBA, he is still one of the leaders for the Hornets. Keeping that in mind, it’s good to know that he ensured to engage with his teammates in the locker room.

Charlotte Hornets likely to further spiral in Ball’s absence

Following the 112-107 defeat, the Hornets remain the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference. They have now fallen to a 12-31 record.

The organization will likely continue to lose games following their star guard’s injury. Ball has averaged 28.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game for the Hornets this season.

Even with Ball’s incredible contributions, the Hornets have failed to win games. So, it isn’t tough to predict their continued demise if Ball misses a few weeks of action.
