Jennifer Schlueter, a seasoned academic leader, has been appointed as the new dean and director of The Ohio State University at Marion, effective January 2025. This appointment marks a significant milestone for the Marion campus, as Schlueter brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

Schlueter currently serves as the associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio State’s Columbus campus. In this position, she has been instrumental in shaping the college’s academic programs and initiatives, while also fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

As dean and director of the Marion campus, Schlueter will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for the campus. She will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to advance the campus’s academic programs, research initiatives, and community engagement efforts.

Schlueter’s appointment has been met with enthusiasm from the Ohio State community. University officials praised her exceptional leadership skills, academic expertise, and commitment to student success.

Schlueter’s background and experience make her an ideal fit for the Marion campus. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio State and went on to earn her master’s and doctoral degrees in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Throughout her career, Schlueter has demonstrated a passion for teaching, research, and community engagement. She has taught a range of courses in English literature and language, and her research focuses on early modern English literature and culture.
