Charleston, South Carolina (WCIV) — There is an ongoing back-and-forth argument between Charleston County Sheriff Kristin Graziano and Representative Nancy Mace. Graziano is allegedly undermining immigration enforcement in the Lowcountry, according to Mace.

Sheriff Graziano defended the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, saying it adhered to procedure, in response to various allegations Mace made regarding Graziano’s leadership at the prison facility. “Nancy Mace is a bunch of shit, it’s obvious she doesn’t know the law,” Graziano declared during a Wednesday morning press conference. “ICE officers are the ones who get the orders from judges, and we have never denied one of their instructions. Mace has a track record of distorting facts to serve her own political ends, but this letter is especially bad.” In response, Mace posted a video on X of herself tearing up a paper copy of Sheriff Graziano’s declaration.
